FEDERAL JUDGE DELAYS $215 MILLION FEDERAL CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT.
USC announced a proposed settlement of one class action, but preliminary approval of the settlement was denied by the court. It claimed that class members could be “misled into believing that their award will be higher than their actual amount of compensation received.” The court also held that certain procedures might result in “arbitrary decision-making” and that the appeals process would not be “fair for class members.”
Many believe that the settlement is totally inadequate for the thousands of victims involved and that it is simply an attempt by USC to prevent the public from learning the true extent of its complicity in ignoring Dr. Tyndall’s conduct. Even if a revised proposed settlement agreement is eventually approved, we can help you make the decision about whether an individual suit or a class action claim is in your best interest, as it will vary on a case-by-case basis.

DO NOT LET DR. GEORGE TYNDALL AND COMPLICIT UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATORS GET AWAY
USC gynecologist Dr. George Tyndall is alleged to have inappropriately touched, harassed, photographed, and violated hundreds of patients in a setting where they were particularly vulnerable over his nearly 30-year career. USC helped him do it.
- Reports indicate that USC received numerous complaints of Tyndall’s sexually abusive behavior as early as 1991, but that USC administrators failed to take action and allowed him to continue mistreating his patients for almost thirty years.
- USC has ignored the complaints until they couldn’t any longer, and then they paid a settlement to Dr. Tyndall to allow him to resign quietly.
- The public deserves to know all the details about USC’s mishandling of this alleged sexual predator.
Hundreds of women have already come forward and contacted us. Let your voice be heard so that justice is served.
JJS Has Delivered Justice To Thousands Of Women Abused During OB/GYN Exams
Janet, Janet & Suggs, LLC has delivered justice for thousands of women abused during gynecologist pelvic and breast exams. Violations have included unnecessary and inappropriate probing, touching, comments, and photography. Our proven track record of success includes an “historic” $190M settlement with Johns Hopkins Hospital regarding the sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct of OB/GYN, Dr. Nikita Levy. Dr. Levy inappropriately "treated" patients for decades at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital. The settlement secured by JJS is one of the largest sexual abuse cases against a single abuser in U.S. history and helped approximately 8,000 women abused by Dr. Levy get the justice they deserved.
JJS & AWST are proud to have filed the first class action lawsuits against USC in California State Court.

What is the Alleged "Inappropriate Behavior" by Dr. Tyndall?
According to the LA Times article, Dr. Tyndall engaged in a number of "unprofessional and inappropriate behaviors" with his patients, including:
1. Photographing patients' genitals
2. Making inappropriate comments or remarks about patients' bodies, sexual activities, ethnicities and religious beliefs
3. Requiring patients to submit to nude "full body" exams
4. Inappropriately "probing" patients with fingers during exams
5. Inappropriately touching or fondling patients' genitals or bodies during exams
6. Other behaviors that fall outside the expected standard of care for gynecologists
According to outside experts, the above actions and behaviors fall outside the expected standard of care for a gynecologist and are "very odd." At this time, the full extent of Dr. Tyndall's alleged misconduct is unknown -- and many victims may be unaware.
JJS is in the process of gathering additional details regarding the scope of Dr. Tyndall's alleged activities. If, at any time, you were a patient of Dr. Tyndall, you may be a victim and may have a case.

As a patient, you should be able to trust that the doctors and medical professionals providing you with care are trustworthy, trained and professional individuals who have been thoroughly vetted and are providing appropriate care -- not physicians seeking to manipulate and exploit their patients. For too long, it appears USC allowed accusations and reports of inappropriate behavior and unlawful activity to circulate without taking appropriate action to ensure students were protected.
