What Are The Symptoms?
Symptoms of drug-induced liver injury may include jaundice, nausea, fatigue, and discomfort.
Symptoms of hypersensitivity pneumonitis include fever, chills, malaise, cough, chest tightness, dyspnea, rash, swelling, shortness of breath, chronic bronchitis, and headache.
What Does the FDA Say?
On November 21, 2017, the Food and Drug Administration issued a safety alert warning to consumers and health professionals that Limbrel has been linked to two life-threatening health problems: drug-induced liver injury and hypersensitivity pneumonitis. In total, the FDA has received 194 adverse event reports, and the FDA used those adverse events to recognize an association between the consumption of Limbrel and the adverse events.
The FDA recommended that consumers immediately stop taking Limbrel and that health professionals should advise their patients to stop taking the product immediately.
